Welcome to Best Sustainable Developement Focus (BSDF)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Best Sustainable Development Focus (BSDF) is an organization founded to empower young people through informal education in practical basis. Through this a society will be capable of overcoming challenges in economic dependency and moral erosion. The late Mwl. Julius Nyerere once said “Youths are tomorrow’s generation as well as manpower for the nation”. Western countries are currently thriving economically after recognizing the secret of investing in educating youths. We Tanzanians are also able to achieve this through BSDF.

In Tanzania, some youths are engaging in acts such as prostitution, drug abuse, superstition, and terrorism. Such behaviour undermines national development. Various stakeholders such as the government, religion The private sector and the entire society are no longer trust them. They have left them in the dark and support only a few of those who are educated compared to the majority of deserted youth who are on the streets is slang for homeless. If informal education is provided to youths, it will help to disengage them from these behaviours. It is unlikely they will be ready to cooperate with mentioned stakeholders. It is now time to change the future with BSDF. BSDF aims to providing informal education and uniting mentioned stakeholders with youths, conducting seminars to encourage youths and empower them economically, socially and morally.

Finally BSDF aims to emphasize life skills to youths with confidence, awareness, courageousness, trustworthy and patience; so as to encounter economic challenges facing them and the nation as well.

ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS:

Internal Environment:

BSDF is an organization structured by eight directors who are Chairperson, Vice chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Projects officer, Officer programs, Chief ethics and official distributor. Apart from youths and development partners, the organized projects income will boost the BSDF pocket so as to have a starting point financially.

The skills that we initially possess and the unity of us together with development partners are among our basic assets. We also organize some projects such as agricultural activities and job creativity so as to ensure our stability.

Youths are going to become self-reliance through seminars in practical basis and hard working.

External Environment:

We are interested to work with developing countries like Tanzania; and we will start at our home land to compete with organized organizations for youths programming likewise.

We intend to cooperate with village government and religion to grouping youths in order to involve them in our programs.

Our Organization is going to work together with government under concerned ministry. It will invite people with different professions whenever required.

We intend to cooperate with village government and religion to grouping youths in order to involve them in our programs.

Through seminars, youths are shaped and trained to be creative, after having life skills. Directors will establish different economic projects as class for youths and finally implementing these activities to them

TOOLS FOR COMPARISON ANALYSIS:

Although our target is to shape youths, we face some challenges as capital, office, area for investment and transport. Not only that but also we are facing external factors by the sense that some youths are hopeless, others are addicted by evil things such as drug abuse, alcohol and prostitution. It is very sad to see others being selfish including existence of malice in our society.

Moreover we hope we are going to accomplish our mission due to following factors:-

  • The readiness and willingness of BSDF to help youths.
  • Hardworking works
  • Government has such budget for empowering youths.
  • Private companies are willing to support development activities.
  • Religion and society want to shape youths.
  • Foreign sponsors are ready to support Good Strategic Plans for Developments
For such reason we are able to overcome the challenges facing our mission.

Bench marking:

We are going to work with youths in their respective areas rather than being in the office to operate the mission in order to share experience with them in different activities. Also we are interested to organize economic activities to them apart from seminars.

Other relatively organized organizations are no longer doing This, these organizations spend more money to publish magazines while some rural youths are not interested to read them and hence you find these magazines to libraries unread. That is why our organization is going to make changes from idealism to materialism. That means we are going to educate youths by live activities practically.

BEST PRACTICES:

BSDF is going to conduct seminars to youths firstly in order to make them aware about our mission, and start to set their mind through listed lessons:-

  • Effects of drug abuse and alcohol.
  • Effects of prostitution and superstition.
  • Effects of laziness and poor time management.
  • Importance of being acceptable to the society.
  • Job creativity and being self-reliance.
Secondly we are going to implement economic activities to trained youths, so as to make them busy and serious which may lead them to be acceptable and helpful to their society.

Gap Analysis:

Poor standard of living is increasing frequently in our land since youths are hopeless, and they are no longer thinking positively due to lack of relevance education, uses of drug abuse and over drinking. Some they blame government about less job opportunity, while others engaging in prostitution and superstition which decrease manpower for the nation and lead to increase number of street children due to laziness and HIV/AIDS infections.

Our time is now to shape our society through youths, and make them helpful for the coming generation. If they will know and understand their positions and values in their society, and use the time properly by engaging to the economic activities, thus enhancing the quality of living.

MISSION:

BSDF offer life skills to youths in practical basis because many of them are living an incomprehensible life and have found themselves engaging in evil things such as drug abuse, prostitution, superstition and terrorism for simply because they are jobless.

For such reasons, BSDF is there for empowering youths morally, socially and economically Through its organised projects by insisting patience, trustworthiness, confidence and awareness to them, and make youths to be acceptable in their society due to their good decision of desiring positive changes from the real situation they have. Not only that but also the BSDF is going to provide informal education to youths in practical basis for the fact of making them being self-reliance.

VISION:

Sometimes we are dreaming although some dreams are common. Since people are dreaming to have a real-estate such as good house, more money to enhance the quality of life, BSDF is dreaming to have several economic projects for youths and use the opportunity available to our fingertips for the coming generation.

Our aspiration for the future is to have a society which is helpful and capable to overcome challenges facing our nation as economic dependant together with conflicts eradication. The late Mwl. Nyerere was struggling to eradicate disease, ignorance and poverty. We adapt his philosophy and courage youths through BSDF.

QUICK WINS:

These are improvements which are expected to provide a Return on Investment in a short period of time with relatively small cost and effort. Firstly youths should be shaped from drug abuse, over drinking, prostitution, superstition and laziness by counselling them about proper time management.

Cooperative saving groups forming will make them busy and help to accomplish their target in life. We will encourage youths to use this opportunity they have to engage in these activities since there are funds to empowering youths provided by the government via their Member of Parliament (MP) and social welfare.
